Thank you for stopping by my site.  My name is David Nofsinger.  I am an Economist who graduated from Kansas State University, and former President of a NAIC investment club, Kansas City Investment Exchange. 

I've created this site in order to discuss finance issues that the average person will encounter during his life.  I believe in order for people to get ahead financially, that there are 4 different aspects to consider, which I hope to address with this site.

1.  Investing.  I discuss methods for you to learn how to invest for yourself.  This includes discussions on various books and types of investment clubs.  Naturally I will also discuss different types of investment vehicles, such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.  Finally, this includes how to invest for your specific goals, such as IRA's and 401K's, as well as using 529 investment accounts for savings for college or higher education for your kids.

2.  Career.  Certainly income is a big part of your financial security.  I will have articles on job searches, interview techniques, as well as the best career fields out in the market. 

3.  Budgeting.  These articles discuss specifically how money runs through your household.  Discussions about the use of bank accounts, credit, credit scores, debt and other personal finance issues.

4.  Home Economics (also called Family and Consumer Science).  Getting the biggest bang for your buck is a significant part of your personal finances.  Learning to maximize your income on the things you have to spend money on, by spending it frugally.  Also included will be discussions on how to save money by doing things yourself, instead of hiring to have something done. 

My hope is that by considering these different aspects, that I can help you learn to effectively use your money to accomplish your most important goals.
